Our Mission
The mission of Lambs of Lanka is to support orphanages in Sri Lanka, especially Tamil-speaking orphanages from Trincomalee to Jaffna, by providing meaningful educational services and opportunities. Our assistance includes helping orphanages access computers with educational and beneficial software, providing eBooks and digital learning resources, and connecting children with Tamil-speaking tutors from around the world. We also aim to support older children and young adults by offering guidance in computer skills, job skills, interview preparation, communication skills, and career readiness. Through these services, Lambs of Lanka hopes to empower children with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills they need for a brighter future.

Our Story
About us
My name is Hannah, and I am the founder of Lambs of Lanka Foundation. This foundation was created from my close personal connection with orphanages in Sri Lanka, especially Tamil-speaking orphanages from Trincomalee to Jaffna. I have visited several of these orphanages and have seen first-hand the kindness, honesty, and strength of the children who live there.
After providing computer resources for some of the orphanages, I currently teach English online to children in these orphanages, and this is an ongoing part of my work. Since many of the children speak Tamil, my mother helps by translating words and phrases, which makes the lessons more meaningful and easier for them to understand. What touches me most is how hard the children try to learn, always with a smile and without complaint.
After each lesson, I return to the support of my parents and family, but I often think about the children who may not have the same support around them. Yet, every time the children come back to class, they arrive with smiles, hope, and a willingness to learn. Through Lambs of Lanka Foundation, I want to share this experience with other young adults and show them that by offering our time, skills, and encouragement, we can make a real difference in a child’s life while also learning from their courage, gratitude, and joy.
