Volunteering opportunities are available for high-school and university students of any nationality. Only material of any level between Grade 1-12 needs to be known to teach.
Certificates will be provided to tutors as evidence of participation.

Locations:
SOS Children’s Village (Jaffna):
Located about 5 km from Jaffna town, with 12 family houses, SOS currently cares for 106 children and youth. The campus includes a kindergarten, boys’ youth facility, and computer learning center.
Karunai Girls’ Child Development Centre (Jaffna):
A girls’ home in Urumpirai, Jaffna which houses over 40 young girls, supported by Tamil Orphans Trust. It has a few buildings, including an assembly hall.
Anpu Illam (Trincomalee):
A Trincomalee children’s home which cares for over 200 children. The Tamil Orphans Trust also supports the home’s running, maintenance, and children’s welfare.
Annai Saratha Girls Home (Trincomalee):
A girls’ home in Muthur, Trincomalee. It was initially built to accommodate girls displaced by the war.
Mahadeva Children’s Home (Uruthirapuram):
A Kilinochchi children’s home in Uruthirapuram. It is supported by the Tamil Orphans Trust with day-to-day running and children’s welfare.
Sri Shanmuga Trust (Trincomalee):
A Trincomalee children’s home supported by Tamil Orphans Trust. It received computers funded by outsiders to assist with education.
Peter Weerasekera Children’s Home (Gampaha):
It cares for over 85 children and is located about 21 miles from Colombo. It includes a nutrition center for infants, a toddlers’ home, a Montessori pre-school, and a girls’ home for children aged 5–18.
Serendip Children’s Home (Kilinochchi):
It was created to support orphaned children, widows, and people left destitute in the war-affected North and East of Sri Lanka. It has since expanded its work to include education, food, elderly care, women’s empowerment, and support for vulnerable communities.
Valluwar Child Development Centre (Jaffna):
A children’s home in Vaddukoddai East, Jaffna. It was founded in 2002 and has 34 children, mostly girls, with 10 staff.
Vivehanada Girls Home (Batticaloa):
Vivehanada Girls Home is a girls’ children’s home located on Rattnam Road in Valaichenai, Batticaloa District, Sri Lanka, with around 35–37 girls listed in recent public records. It has received support for basic needs, clothing cabinets, school supplies, uniforms, and shoes through various projects.
